The UAE’s record setting low bids for utility-scale solar developments signal its potential to become a world leader in renewable energy. According to Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy, announced in 2015, the Emirate will have 75 percent of its total power output from clean energy by 2050. I wrote UAE leading charge for cheap solar for Oilprice.com (see on-line), and Dubai to become global leader in solar energy (also on-line).
I wrote numerous articles on energy, hydrogen and Middle East renewables for Oilprice | full list
I wrote about IRENA’s vision for a massive transformation of world’s energy system (see on-line), also about the IEA’s perspectives on carbon-free energy (also on-line).
I wrote about Europe’s largest port – the Port of Rotterdam – becoming a major hydrogen hub (read on-line), and about the emerging geography of hydrogen in Saudi Arabia (also on-line).
I wrote about LNG and the geopolitics of energy.
This work prepared me to take on current responsibilities as editor of Energy & Utilities, now based in Dubai.
